Many businesses fear when choosing open
source, they won’t be able to get the support they need if something
goes wrong. Well, it’s time to lay that fear to rest. While it is
true that many distributors of Linux come without what you may
recognize as a traditional support package- they do come with support.

- Community forums
Email
support is an advantage here because instead of getting a “Help desk
analyst III” it’s likely, you will be put in contact with a developer,
who knows the software well. Community forums also give you access to
developers but they also have the added bonus of instant
gratification. If someone’s already asked your question (quite likely)
cases a bevy of solutions for you try.
Think
about it- pay $150 plus to wait on hold for 30 minutes, go through a
myriad of analysts who can’t answer your questions, or click and read.
